Making friends with the paintbrushes

Last weekend I took a trip to Manchester and scooped up some gouache paints, sketchbook, new pens and other arty treats. So today I started having a play about, I've used watercolour paint plenty before but never gouache. This is something I'm hoping to start using within my work and creating some new stuff with it, I just started off with some wolf paintings trying to find my style and now I can't wait to do some more!

NEC

I worked on a small set of cards and wrap for Rafale Designs portfolio at the Spring trade fair at NEC in Birmingham this month. Heres a little peek at some of them.

a little inspiration

So at the moment i'm working on a few things - one being involved with a trade show in birmingham next month through the fantastic Rafale Design. Two being sorting out my new website making it perfect for when I make the transition. And three being making some new products for the etsy shop, at the moment I'm looking into some tea-towels and notebooks to do a trial run with. So while i'm mulling over all of this stuff, here are some great inspirational bits and pieces I have subconsciously collected up to get me motivated -

a new blog!

Okay, so recently i've been making a few changes to my website. The one I currently have is too high maintenance for me so i've decided on making something a lot easier for me to use and more up to date, this will go live mid feb. So with this I thought I would sort out my blogging and move it over here (previously on tumblr).









So I plan to keep updating this with any exciting things that I'm up to with my work and a place where I can post about designers or images that I find that inspire me, because I'm running out of room storing all these on my computer! (and maybe a few sneaky pictures of my dog)
